About Me
MY NAME IS Melanie smart
As a child I was always creating. My patient parents thankfully encouraged these endeavors even if it meant wrecking the living room or painting on the walls. They were not surprised in the least when I went to Virginia Tech’s School of Architecture to pursue my creative passion.
As an adult I still love building and creating, and am fortunate enough to do this for a profession. After 20 years in the industry I’m still constantly learning and growing and evolving.
When I’m not designing homes, I enjoy spending time in my vegetable garden and with my family. Being blessed with three boys has definitely taught me a few things about durable materials and efficient, practical design.
